Drawings & music in one small package: Bird Model Kit, a 7-song DIY mini album, debuting tomorrow at Chicago Zine Fest! And available on my Etsy site thereafter.
Drawing in anticipation of Chicago Zine Fest next weekend! I’ll be at table 61 next to Rebecca Mir as always. This year my project will be both audio and visual, so saddle up for an illustrated lo-fi mini-album of country/blues songs.
I did some more illustrations for Next City, look here and read also!!!
New illustrations that I did for an article about restorative justice are up at Next City…What a privilege to draw on a topic so important, relevant, and timely. Please READ and look!
I illustrated an article for Next City! You can read/see it here: http://nextcity.org/forefront/view/foreign-exchange
I drew this today….My country duo, The Blue Irenes, will be hosting Crimson Glow at the Whistler this Thursday, August 22! We will present a mix c.d. (which will include a copy of this drawing), and then perform a set of originals and covers by, you guessed it, our favorite divas of country music!! If you’re in Chicago (or a short ride away), I hope to see you there!
Page one from Marian Runk’s lovely, meditative tale of winter into spring, and solitude, coming attcha in QU33R this fall from Northwest Press!
Thanks Rob! Can’t wait for the book!
Ok…So, lots of things coming up. Most importantly, CAKE (Chicago Alternative Comics Expo) is happening June 15th and 16th, at the Center on Halsted in Chicago. I’ll be tabling with Rebecca Mir as usual! We’ll be right next to Oily Comics, which is cool, since they’re debuting my mini-comic Not a Horse Girl at the show! I’m so excited for its print debut…Reminder that you can see me read (and sing) from Issue #1 back in January, in this video from Brain Frame #10 (I can’t apologize ENOUGH for being out-of-tune). I will also be at Printer’s Row Lit Fest Sunday, June 9, at CAKE’s table, hanging out and signing/selling comics, 12-1 pm. Come visit!!!! This summer is going to be great, right?! In the meantime, here are a couple summer-related panels from NAHG #1.
Hey guys! Come visit me and Edie Fake at TCAF, table #150, May 11 and 12th! It’s my birthday weekend so it’ll be extra special!! ALSO, check out yesterday’s issue of Narratively, I did a lil’ illustration for the first story! It involves everybody’s favorite thing ever, i.e. a cat on a leash.
